Over the summer, the employment agency that I work for, Aquent, held a call for entries for their 2012 calendar. Each person could submit 3 pieces. Luckily, I had been taking an art class so I had some options from which to choose.
I entered two representational pieces (Italian Veggie Delight and Room) and one abstract one (Flow #2). I was pleased to find out that the abstract painting was selected as one of the semifinalists.
It'll be interesting to see which twelve are ultimately selected for the calendar!
