Here's the latest piece that I did when I volunteered at the museum. I always try to do the project myself so that I have more confidence when introducing the project to the families who come to work on the project.
The goal was to create a diorama based on a random "time" that you picked out of a bowl. People got to decide if they wanted to interpret it as PM or AM.
I ended up with 10:50 and while I treated it as 10:50 pm, I think it would work fine for the morning as well, because I created a scene of myself working on a laptop. It was interesting because I don't usually work with materials to build a scene, so it required figuring out how to make a desk with the available materials.
What's with the image of the polar bear in the background you may ask. Good question. Mainly, I just liked the picture, but also, I feel I'm most creative in the evening, so I wanted it to represent my imagination.
