I recently made some bookmarks for my classmates in my Voice and Speech class. If you look carefully at the image, you might notice that there are two versions, one that is more greenish and another one which is more purplish.
I first painted two sheets of watercolor paper using various techniques such as splattering, and washes. For the back side, I painted it with a blue shimmery background.
Then I cut up each sheet into the individual bookmarks, and personalized each bookmark with each person's name written in International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) since we spent a lot of time studying it in class.
For the final touch, I "laminated" each bookmark by covering both sides with contact paper to make it more durable.
