I've been curious about using contact-paper for a while. This humble little stool has been in the family for ages and the old contact paper with the faux wood design had been ripping off for years.
I wanted to give the stool a new look. First, we removed the random remnants of the old paper. The wood was not of the best quality so the best choice was to reapply contact paper.
The design here is a rectangular design. It's pretty simple-looking, but one thing I learned is that if I were to do this again, I would choose a design that allows more seamless designs. That way, you can cut the paper in what ever direction you want without having to worry about whether it is placed in the proper direction.
Anyway here are the before and after shots. Planning to apply this paper to some shoe boxes and use them as storage.
