This time, I decided I needed to do at least one more "sculptural" piece so I made a piggy bank. Sculptural pieces were what I did back in high school and probably give me the most creative freedom, but I haven't done it much over the past two years of ceramics. I feel that these types of pieces are probably what I'm more naturally inclined to do, so I haven't spent much time on it. However as I worked on the pig, it felt fun. There wasn't pressure because I felt like I knew what to do.
I'm still planning to do more wheel throwing to practice centering and pulling, but it was nice to get back into just playing with the clay for a change without worrying about the technicalities.
