My friend recently asked me to create a mural/poster for her son's 4th birthday party. She was throwing a dinosaur-theme party and asked if I could draw some dinosaur silhouettes.
I only had a week to work on it, so there wasn't much time. My friend purchased some craft paper for me to work on. I'm not used to working on such a large scale, but it was 4 feet tall and about 6.5 feet wide.
My first concern was where to do this mural/poster. Ultimately, I had to pull out the sofa and tape the paper against the living room wall, with a plastic tarp against the back to protect it against paint or marker seeping through.
I did some online research to find drawings of dinosaurs and drew them in. I originally thought I would use markers to color in the dinosaurs, but the markers would've taken too long, so I ended up using acrylic paint. I started on a Sunday and worked on it each evening after coming home from work. Finally finished it on a Friday evening. Here it is.
