The top vote getter, with 62% of the votes, was "Perspectives" . Second place was "Lost and Found" with 12% of the votes. It was a tough decision on which painting to submit, but after thinking it over, I have finally chosen to "Lost and Found". I wanted to display something that was available for sale, and since "Perspectives" is the painting that got me interested in art again and I didn't want to put that up.
The final results were interesting. Before creating the poll, I thought "Lost and Found" would be the least popular because the figures in the painting seemed a little off. However, it turned out that I was the one who totally off. My personal favorite, "Nineteen" didn't receive a single vote.
I've been trying to analyze what all this means. "Perspectives" is most representative, while "Nineteen" is probably the most abstract of all the four paintings. Perhaps there's more interest in pieces that depict images that are more recognizable. In the past few years, I've been leaning toward the stronger abstract style which I think is very fun, but maybe it's time to mix it up a bit and get in more practice with more representational styles.
