My first new entry of 2012! Is it too late to talk about resolutions? Nah, Chinese New Year is coming up, so I'm okay.
Measuring myself against last year's resolutions, I think I did pretty well. One of my goals last year was to take art classes and stay creative. I did that by taking a drawing class, a painting class, and a voice and speech class. I also continued to volunteer at the SFMOMA. That's pretty good for one year!
It's easy to let work and daily life steer one away from doing creative projects. I must regularly remind myself about the importance of keeping up with my original goals of staying involved with art. I don't want to lose the momentum.
Toward that end, I plan to:

- Regularly doodling in my sketchbook (for practice)
- Complete at least five paintings/drawings
- Try to do pieces on a larger scale
- Read and learn more about artists who inspire me
