What I wanted to show is a snapshot of the 21 pieces that I did in the ceramics class. My goal from was to use up the entire 25lbs of clay they gave us.
The last day of class was spent glazing our work. I had the complete opposite problem as I did in my previous class where I only had six pieces to glaze. Now, I had too many to handle.
To make matters more challenging, we had to paint on the glaze. There was no bucket of glaze from which we could dip our pieces into. This definitely made the process much more time consuming because ideally you need three coats of glaze.
Because I didn't have enough time, I hardly bothered to check the test tiles to see how the glaze would look before applying it to the pieces. It felt a bit liberating, though to have so many pieces to complete, that you just let go of your need to control.
We will see how they turn out in about three weeks when we get to go back to pick up the final glazed pieces.
