It's a dangerous activity for me to wander into an art supply store without a plan and no time pressure. I end up perusing the aisles, checking out all the different items, the neat art tools that I never knew existed that I now yearn for, the rainbow of colors in the paint tubes.
I used to have a rule about not buying new sketchbooks or drawing pads until I finished the ones I already had, but that's been a difficult rule to follow. There are now such a wide variety of pads to choose from, from pads specifically for drawing manga to mixed media and pen and ink.
Of course I couldn't resist the call of the sketchpads and got one for mixed media and one for pen work. And if I have a pad for pen drawings, I need a new set of pens, right?
Above are the latest additions to my art supply. I don't think I'm done shopping for art supplies just yet. I'd like to add to my paint colors, but needed more time to analyze what colors I wanted. Now I just to fill up these sketchbooks and make use of these art supplies before I can justify buying more.
