The sense of relief after performing my ball project is great. I haven't been that nervous in a long time. What made me nervous is that the piece is entirely my creation, from the choice of song, to what story to tell, and how to tell it. There are many choices to make. Despite stressing over wanting to do well on the project, I think it's a great creative exercise because of how integrated it is.
I practiced a lot and continually refined it. I was so glad once I did it. There were points where I felt I was too rushed. The instructor gave me some notes:
1) Use voice to enhance the story telling
2) Leverage some stillness to incorporate more tempo change and focus
There are some other tips I want to try to incorporate. At this time, I'm just glad I got it done and can work on improvements.
