The workload is easing up a bit and I'm hoping it will stay this way for a while. I've decided to take a class called Movement for Actors. The class teaches you how to act with your full body, not just stand there like a talking head. It should help you be more natural with your acting.
I've only had one session so far, so it's too early to tell how much I'll like the class. I had heard a lot positive things about the class and the instructor from classmates in previous classes, so I wanted to try it for myself. The instructor seems very organized, friendly and dedicated, so those are good signs.
What's nice is that the class takes place on Mondays, so it makes Mondays less of a drag, though it's a long day. Also, it's a movement class so I get some exercise in there as well. Nice.
My goals for this class are to have some fun, get my mind off of work, learn to let go and gain more insight into what it takes to be an actor.
